On Sunday, September 17, 2017, RSHM from Zimbabwe and Zambia, Zambezi Regional Superior Sr. Florence Muuka, General Superior Sr. Rosamond Blanchet, and General Councilor Sr. Philippa O’Sullivan gathered with many guests for a Eucharistic celebration of thanksgiving in Holy Name Parish, Mabelreign, Harare to commemorate the 60 years of our RSHM life in Zimbabwe. Representatives of other religious congregations, including Sr. Illumina Katsnkunga, LCBL, and Janice McLaughlin, MM, joined over one thousand parishioners to show their gratitude and appreciation for the presence of RSHM in Zimbabwe through the years. Sr. Rosamond extended greetings and invited all to “enter this celebration with great joy and praise to our God who calls us to be Christ’s presence here and now, today and everyday.” Following the Mass, all present gathered to enjoy both a celebratory meal and one another’s company.
