Race for the Cure

Posted May 14, 2026

It was a cloudy, cool Sunday morning, 10th May 2026, perfect weather for the event of that day. The streets of Rome came alive with colour, energy, and hope during the annual Race for the Cure, an event that brought together thousands of participants in solidarity for the fight against breast cancer. People of all ages gathered to walk, run, and celebrate life, creating an atmosphere filled with joy, encouragement, and community spirit.

Among the participants were four members of the RSHM community, four Sisters and one staff member, who took part in the 10 km race. It was a wonderful and enriching experience, marked not only by physical challenge but also by a deep sense of unity and shared purpose. Walking and running alongside so many others reminded us of the importance of supporting one another, promoting hope, and standing in solidarity with those affected by the illness.

The event was more than a race; it was a celebration of courage, resilience, and compassion. We returned grateful for the experience and inspired by the powerful witness of people coming together for a cause that touches so many lives.

Race for the Cure is organised in various cities across Europe. To find out the locations and dates, visit: https://www.raceforthecure.eu/en
