At the Global Network of RSHM Schools, we are committed to educating so that all may have life, inspired by the charism of Fr. Jean Gailhac and guided by the values of internationality, integral education, and a commitment to social justice and peace.
This commitment brings together teachers and leadership teams from 19 schools across the world in Lisbon, from 26 June to 2 July, for the Global Network of RSHM Schools Conference.
The meeting of school leadership teams provides a unique opportunity to reflect on education. In 2026, Colégio Sagrado Coração de Maria – Lisbon is hosting the Global Network Meeting, bringing together around 100 educators and Religious under the theme FORMATION THAT INSPIRES IN TIMES OF CHANGE: Identity, Commitment and Global Transformation.
To extend the reach of the Conference reflections and share its key moments, the Portuguese team has created a dedicated event website. Follow the latest news and reports from the Conference at: https://globalnetwork.in.cscm-lx.pt/
The Conference invites participants to reflect on the formation of tomorrow’s leaders: young people prepared to respond to the challenges of the 21st century and leaders who are globally competent, spiritually grounded, and committed to building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world.
It offers a privileged space for dialogue and the sharing of experiences. The programme begins with a reflection on the identity of the Institute, highlighting the importance of expanding roots and fidelity to the charism that sustains its mission. Participants are also invited to explore education in the light of the Global Compact on Education and the Apostolic Letter, fostering the creation of “New Maps of Hope.”
The Conference will also address education as a catalyst for global transformation, exploring the challenges of technological development, empowering transformative education, artificial intelligence, spirituality, and the humanisation of the digital world.
Speakers include Sister Coltrida Mooya, Institute Leader; Sister Teresa Nogueira, General Councillor; Sister Veronica Brand, General Councillor and RSHM NGO Representative to the United Nations; Susan Kumnick, Coordinator of the RSHM Global Network of Schools; Sister Catherine Vincie, member of the Global Network Committee; Bishop Alexandre Palma, Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon; Isabel Capeloa Gil, Rector of the Catholic University of Portugal; Marco Bento, Professor at the Coimbra School of Education; Octávio Carmo, Journalist at Agência Ecclesia; and Paulo Ribeiro Campino, Educational Director of Colégio Sagrado Coração de Maria – Lisbon.
The Meeting also features testimonies from members of the educational community and representatives of social projects, illustrating the Network tangible commitment to social transformation, justice, peace, and the integrity of creation.
