The Global Network of RSHM Schools includes schools in the US, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Portugal, and England, France, Italy. The mission of the network is to facilitate mission effectiveness, foster the gift of internationality, and broaden the commitment to the transformation of the world through education. In addition, the RSHM are present at St. Joseph’s School and St. Mulumba’s School in Zambia, Africa. They also serve on the Boards of Trustees of several universities in the United States: Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA; Marymount University, Arlington, VA; Marymount Manhattan College, NY, NY.
Throughout the RSHM world, education occurs not only in our schools, but in a variety of settings and situations, especially as sisters and their collaborators reach out to young people and adults who need additional academic support or do not have access to traditional schools.
Through a variety of ministries, we respond to the call of our RSHM Mission Statement to address the needs of our time, “enabling the powerless, the deprived, the marginalized, the voiceless to work effectively for their own development and liberation.”
RSHM are active in various parish ministries, conduct prayer and bible study groups, and offer programs for the religious education of young people and religious formation for adults. They are active in campus ministry in schools and universities and serve as hospital chaplains. The congregation also sponsors three retreat centers, in Wales, Portugal, and the US.
