With deep joy and gratitude, the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary and all those who share our mission welcome the election of Pope Leo XIV. Our hearts resonated with his words to the people in St Peter’s Square: “To all you brothers and sisters of Rome, of Italy, of all the world, we want to be a synodal church, walking and always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering…. We have to look together how to be a missionary church, building bridges, dialogue, always open to receiving, with open arms for everyone, like this square, open to all ….” We assure Pope Leo of our support and our prayers in his service of the Church and the world at this critical moment in history.
