Institute Treasurers’ Meeting

Posted June 7, 2022

From May 23-26, 2022,  RSHM Treasurers, both RSHM and lay women, met in Rome in  collaborative reflection about the implications and the steps needed to implement the financial consequences of the 2019 General Chapter mandate to move forward in becoming one unit of governance.

Our conversations emerged from our conviction that economic resources must be placed at the service of Life in Mission.  A spirit of synodal listening and sharing with one another characterized our discussions.

The participants, with the presence of the Institute Leadership Council, were skillfully facilitated by Brett and his son, David Nicholls, who created a space of openness that moved us to a deeper understanding of our reality through visuals and insightful analysis.

The hospitality of the Generalate Community, our prayer, and joyful engagement with one another strengthened our courage to discover together new paths in shaping a financial policy that supports the General Chapter mandate of becoming one unit of governance.
