World Day Against Child Labor
June 12, 2023
End Child Labor!
160 million children are engaged in child labor. That is almost one in ten children worldwide. The International Labor Organization defines child labor as “work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is harmful to their physical and mental development.” Elimination of child labor in all forms – slavery, servitude, illicit activities, hazardous work- must be today’s priority.
